The drama between khloe kerdashian and joordy woods
“Keeping Up with the Kardashians” returns March 31 with Season 16, but ratings for the one-time reality TV juggernaut have been down for the past several seasons.

The Dec. 9 finale for Season 15 attracted just 851,000 viewers, a 37 percent drop from the 1.3 million who tuned in for the season’s premiere, Showbiz411 reported. That’s a significant decline from earlier seasons when the E! show averaged more than 2 million viewers per episode, according to Forbes.
In a lot of ways, the show has taken a back seat to the Kardashian sisters’ other ventures, especially their massive social media presence, Forbes added. Still, it’s not unreasonable for fans to wonder whether the upcoming premiere and concern about ratings has triggered an onslaught of headlines about new cheating scandals.
Since mid-February, the tabloids and social media have been jammed with gossip about Khloe Kardashian, 34, breaking up with boyfriend Tristan Thompson, 27, after she said she learned he had allegedly cheated on her with Kylie Jenner’s best friend Jordyn Woods, 21. The alleged tryst between Thompson and Woods took place at a party the Cleveland Cavaliers player hosted at his Los Angeles home over President’s Day weekend.
These reports have been followed by other stories chronicling the fallout from Khloe’s big “discovery” about Woods, along with reports that her younger sister Kylie Jenner, 21, is worried that her rapper boyfriend Travis Scott also has been cheating on her.
Fans have shown signs of weariness over the cheating drama over the past few days. That’s because Khloe Kardashian went on a Twitter tirade against Woods, while her family simultaneously tried to hype the drama by portraying her as the great victim of a very bad boyfriend and of a duplicitous Woods, a once trusted, longtime Kardashian family friend.
Kim Kardashian expressed outrage on behalf of her younger sister, and brother-in-law Kanye West rallied to play protective “godfather” to the women in his family, People reported.
But Khloe Kardashian’s Twitter tirade only served to prompt fans to question her motives and those of her famously self-promoting family.

Khloe accused Woods of “lying” during her tell-all interview Friday on Jada Pinkett Smith’s Facebook chat show, Red Table Talk. Khloe Kardashian didn’t like how Woods proclaimed, “I’m no homewrecker” and said she only kissed Thompson while attending a party at his house. Woods also denied claims that she slept with him or performed a lap dance.
In response, Khloe Kardashian accused Woods of being the reason “my family broke up.” She also berated Woods for supposedly not calling her first to apologize before giving an interview.
But more drama ensued after fans called Khloe Kardashian out, forcing her to walk back on her accusations against Woods. Fans expressed aggravation that she didn’t acknowledge that Thompson, not Woods, is the key reason Khloe’s family broke up.
They also questioned why Khloe Kardashian chose to stick by Thompson after he was caught cheating on her in April, just as she was about to give birth to their baby daughter True. Finally, they declared “Karma!”: They accused of Khloe of helping to break up Thompson’s relationship with Jordan Craig, the mother of his first child.
Khloe Kardashian backtracked by tweeting that, yes, “Tristan is equally to blame.” But she also said: “What’s been harder & more painful is being hurt by someone so close to me … someone I love & treat like a little sister.”
“But Jordyn is not to be blamed for the breakup of my family,” she added. “This was Tristan’s fault.”
Despite Khloe Kardashian’s attempt to backtrack, she still continued the drama by talking about her pain. Her laments may not have garnered as much sympathy as she may have hoped. Instead, fans asked a very pertinent question: Why all this drama, and why now?
For one thing, those who listened very carefully to Woods’ interview with Jada Smith noted things Woods said that made them suspect that Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson had broken up some time before the party at his house over President’s Day weekend, BuzzFeed News reported.
First of all, when Jada Smith asked Woods to tell the story of what happened on the night of their supposed tryst, Woods revealed they were partying “at Tristan’s house.”
The idea that Thompson has his own house didn’t seem to track with how Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson apparently described their living arrangements on “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” BuzzFeed News reported. The couple liked to make it seem that they divided their time between shared homes in Cleveland and Los Angeles.
So, fans wondered, what was Woods saying about Thompson having his own house? They also asked why Khloe Kardashian wouldn’t have been invited to a party thrown by her own boyfriend.
Second, Woods also referred to Thompson as Khloe Kardashian’s “ex” at the time of the party, BuzzFeed News added.
BuzzFeed News added that there has been increasing speculation on social media that Khloé Karashian and Thompson split up a while ago. That’s because Khloé hasn’t posted a single photo of Tristan on social media since he was accused of cheating on her the first time last April, BuzzFeed News said.
Her Instagram posts, notably those showing her with True, have failed to mention Thompson’s name for months. Meanwhile, Thompson has shared just one phone of her, posing with him and True on Thanksgiving.
Leading to their announced breakup, Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson hadn’t been seen together in weeks, with sources telling Us Weekly in early February that she has long been living with a “single mom mindset.”
The idea that Khloe and Tristan had broken up some time before the latest drama erupted raised questions about whether Woods was now being used as a “scapegoat” for another failed Kardashian relationship.
And then some fans began posing questions about whether Woods also is being trotted out now as a “scapegoat” for the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” ratings. They mostly noted the timing — a few weeks before Season 16 premiere:
I was just saying the same. I want to see the timeline
